I love working with fragrant blooms – it makes a bouquet memorable. The combination of the herbaceous scent of the chamomile and the creamy, sweet tuberose in this bouquet was intoxicating.

In June I made it out to Austin, Texas to visit Brooke at Pollen Floral Art. I felt incredibly lucky to be working side by side with Brooke. She is a botanical artist, using the most unexpected flowers, foliage, succulents, branches and even non-botanical, found-items, like antlers and bee hives. She weaves these items together effortlessly with innate sense of composition and asymmetrical balance. Check out some of the gorgeous wedding flowers and organic centerpieces we arranged while I was in town.

After a busy week, Brooke graciously allowed me to cut flowers and foliage from her yard to create this bouquet. I can’t wait to head down to Austin to work with Brooke again!
